(In the above quotation, insert a clap and double-handed wave)
After three weeks of Adam and I honing our Bananagrams skills and slowly turning into locals, it was time to infuse a little more Southeast Asia into our trip and head to Singapore. Our journey here was not for no reason. Ms Jill Carr, of my former blog (and let’s face it, life in Switzerland) fame is living in the city-state for six weeks as part of her job. Jill and I (known as the Dynamic Duo or Best Comedy Troupe in All the Land to some most only a few) had not seen each other since she flew to Kansas City to surprise me the day after I returned from Switzerland in December (I heart surprises!). Needless to say it had been far too long and we were eager to reunite.
Thankfully, Jill and her roommate, Michaela, had put together a loose itinerary for the long weekend. Over the four days we sunbathed at Sentosa Island, strolled around Clark Quay, meandered through Chinatown and Little India, explored the Night Safari, ate many a good meal, visited the Singapore Arts Museum, and played more Bananagrams (I knew you would love it, Jill!). It was a great way to close out the trip and get some good Jillatinous/Switter time. Jill and Michaela are excellent hostesses, so if you find yourself in the Asia area, I highly suggest you make your way there!
