I first learned about Everlane through A Cup of Jo, well over a year ago. She raved about their $15 t-shirts and impeccably made silk blouses. After visiting their website for myself I instantly understood what the crush was all about.
Ethically made with the both the producer’s and consumer’s needs in mind, Everlane has carved out a perfect niche in the retail market. Their online-only presence helps them reduce costs, and their relatively small collection ensures that care is taken and an overall aesthetic excellence is maintained. Each product boasts an extensive description not only of the item itself but also the factory in which it was made, including details right down to the name of the factory owner.
On their website you’ll find videos of how they design and make each garment, exhibiting an almost unheard of transparency. I admire the company for its commitment to being a responsible company with integrity, as well as consistently delivering products at wallet-friendly price points.
Not to mention, their clothing is truly fantastic.
I have their Ryan tank, rounded-collar silk blouse (pictured above), weekender bag (pictured below), terry cotton sweatshirt, and I recently ordered the dopp kit (pictured below). I’d also love to own one of their famous tees (in stone or slate, please!) and their gorgeous leather sandals. As a new company they are slowly releasing new products and designs and only recently launched their luxury handbag collection that looks simply dynamite.
If you’re looking for special gifts this holiday season, and of course, beyond, I so encourage you to give Everlane a look. I’ve presented mostly women’s options here but they have a full gentlemen’s collection as well.
So, what’s on your wish list?
