I can think of a hundred million things to do besides research for my Revolutions of the 1850s Literature final paper. Here are just a few I have already accomplished today:
- scrub the bathroom
- vacuum every floor space
- mop the kitchen
- sweep the porch (starting to sound like Cinderella up in here)
- sculpt my magnificent muscles
- shower
- read other blogs
- craft up an amazing sandwich with some bomb herb-y goat cheese
- launder towels, whites, and gym clothes
- DUST!
- sit and look at the $45 parking ticket I got from the street cleaners this morning and think of ways that I can avoid paying it (even though I know I will obviously pay it in full, probably tonight)
But, I have to get on this research. For realz. I have a proposal and annotated bibliography due very soon and I must make some progress. I’m finally here, at my desk, with a cup of tea and a glass of water–my two staples for getting work done in the afternoon. And I SWEAR I am going to get stuff done. Just after I do this one thing…
