Here we are, halfway through October, and I am this close, thisclose, to accomplishing my 2015 goal of reading 40 books. In fact, I have read 35 and I’m currently reading three different books so it is going to happen; I am going to read 40 books. Yes!
There has been a good variety this year and I’m happy that I branched out into new territory. You can see the full list below. Books 1 through 17 were read before June 30 and everything that follows is new since then. Right now I’m reading On Writing Well by William Zinsser (on my desk), What I Know for Sure by Oprah Winfrey (on my nightstand), and Bring Up the Bodies by Hilary Mantel (in my bag), and they are all enjoyable in unique ways. Other books on my fall reading list include On Beauty by Zadie Smith and Purity by Jonathan Franzen.
What about you? What are you reading right now? Any recommendations? My book club is currently voting for next year’s selections and I’m hoping to pick up a few books when we’re in the US next week. I’d love to hear your suggestions!
