Playing in the Park

Sadly, on Monday, Courtdazzle had to go to her internship so we didn’t get to play all day. I worked on a few things for school (remember that? I hardly did…) and then decided to move to a new location to continue reading Uncle Tom’s Cabin. Courtney recommended a great little coffee shop, The Thinking Cup, which was a few minutes walk from her place.

Thankfully, I got to pass through Boston Common on my way there. Below are a few pictures I took while walking around. Can you tell I have a new (sexy) camera and can’t stop playing with it?

Havardians

Sunday is made for brunch. Big brunch. Brunch at Cafe Luna with a monster breakfast sandwich on a grilled biscuit, a lobster and avocado omelet and the best home fries that have ever been made. E-v-e-r. Oh, yes, and goblets of mimosa and bellini.

What else are girls supposed to do after a massive indulgence but trip around Harvard? We walked around the campus and Cambridge, and after we were finished being intellectuals we took our wandering feet downtown and visited many a shop. Court and I concluded our exhausting day in the North End for some out-of-bounds Italian food. We shared goat cheese and wild mushrooms spring rolls, gnocchi with sweet sausage, broccoli rabe, wild mushrooms, in a plum tomato sauce, and goat cheese ravioli with duck confit, dried cranberries, more wild mushrooms and a basil pesto sauce. I don’t have pictures of the meal, but that’s really for your safety: I wouldn’t want you to harm your computer screen.

Court and I at brunch. NOM!!

It's just me. Going to Harvard. Learning good.

I told Courtney to hug a tree.

Do you think if we send these out as Christmas cards people will believe we go to Harvard??

Sisters in the City

The sisters are still tearin’ up Bean Town. It’s been a couple of ruckus days with early dinners, movie night, homework, and lounging on the couch. It’s also been filled with amazing food, tasty drinks, wedding planning (!!!), slap-happy laughing, and just good ol’ fashion fellowship. The fun continues until tomorrow morning!

Some pictures from Saturday afternoon:

Courtney lives in Beacon Hill. It's ahh-mazingly charming.

Even window boxes have charm

Courtney doing her "Beacon Hill thing." Just living the dream.

"Pumpkin" happens to be my favorite word in the English language.

Bwah-ston

I’m going to see my sweet, little, tiny, baby sister today (we’re 13 months apart, by the way). Courtney just moved to Boston in September for a dietetic internship at Mass General Hospital. Totally neat, right? And we haven’t been able to participate in our usual antics for over two months. It’s been rough. I anticipate a weekend of inside jokes that aren’t even funny, laughing til were blue in the face and making her roommate uncomfortable, too much food and wine, and continuing to turn everything we say into a song.
